Transit/Rail Supporters Forum



Date: Tuesday March 25, 2008

Time: 6:00 to 8:00 PM

Place: Casco Bay Lines Conference Room



Purpose: Organize the effort to pass a legislative document (LD 2019) to fund Passenger rail service in Maine.



Agenda:



6:00 to 6:30 – Overview of the legislative process to fund passenger rail and track upgrades to date. And proposal for expanding the service to Brunswick.



6:30 to 7:00 – NNEPRA Management Patricia Quinn will present an overview of the economic impacts of the Downeaster service.



7:00 to end: Organize, create talking points, discuss strategy, plan for trip to Augusta, design presentation methods, identify supporters and who can go to the hearing*
